Who we are
Unicorn Partners Ltd, trading as Unicorn IT (“we”), is registered in England and Wales under company number 05152489, with its registered office at 7 Davenport House, 207 Regent Street, London W1B 3HH. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference ZA398947 and act as data controller for the personal data described here. What we collect
When you contact us through this website or by email or phone: your name, organisation, job title, email address, phone number and whatever you tell us in your message.
When you visit this website: technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you view. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.
When you are a client, or work for one: the contact and account details we need to support you, and information about your organisation’s users, devices, networks, software, backups and security, collected through contracts, support requests, emails, phone calls and the monitoring of the systems we manage.
How we use it, and why we are allowed to
To respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver our services under our contract with you.
To run and secure our business, keep records and send occasional service or business updates to business contacts. This is our legitimate interest; you can opt out at any time.
To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
To understand how this website is used, only with your consent.
We never sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Carefully chosen service providers that help us deliver our services, such as support, monitoring, backup, hosting and accounting providers. They act on our instructions, under written contracts, and only receive what they need. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Enquiries that do not lead to a relationship are deleted when no longer needed; client records are kept for the life of the contract and afterwards for as long as legal and accounting rules require.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@unicornit.com; we may need to verify your identity before acting.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
Security
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption, access controls, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection and monitoring.
